Turning Aside Traditions of Man – Update from GMFC Bungoma Kenya 1-2016

No introduction is needed for this incredible report from brother Moses and brother Haron. The Truth has really set them free as they minister the true gospel of Christ to their church and the lost. Also, the widows and orphans are so very precious to us and God. Please click here to help brother Moses.

Praise the Lord and Happy New Year.
Greetings from me and Bro Haron together with the entire Bungoma Fellowship. The year has began well as we are standing in the strength of the Lord each day.
To God be the glory honor and praise for this time as I put across this praise report of what the Lord doing. I would like to share with and the brothers and sisters in the fellowship. The month of December was a great month I can say, this is the month that had a lot of activities in our fellowship. We put much emphasis on the church taking advantage of the long “holidays” to teach and stabilize the church. I want to thank brother Jimmy and other great teachers of the word who have labored and shared with me. The month of December and the season of christmas is a real challenge in these sides where catholic is dominant. I praise the Lord the many scriptures you sent us against christmas. By the grace of God, after sharing and discussing with my brother Haron, we decided to notify the church we would not be celebrating these false traditions of man and made it part of who we now are. We used the holidays to first teach  the leaders then the the whole church.
I would like to report back to you that the church is now well informed about this pagan festival. Our happiness is full because the church is slowly and slowly getting to the the foundation of the truth.
Another report that God has done is the introduction of the home churches. By His grace we managed to divide the church into small groups. I would like to report that before meeting you it was really difficult to begin something like this. Its because each and every group requires a very well trained and informed leader. It was impossible to chose leaders as I now understand those kind of leaders need to a doctrinal ground to stand on. With the knowledge and guidance I received from you, I was able to compile some training to train those God led to disciple and lead. Just as the word of God says in:
2Tim 2:2  (And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also).
As I share this today, please know that the home churches are now ongoing and doing very well. We took two weeks training these brothers and a sister to be in charge. By his grace we have already seen the fruits of home fellowship!
After learning from about the position of women in church and what the bible says they should and should not do in church, we held a one week training on the role of women in church. With the kind of knowledge that the world has now, I would want to admit that it was not very easy but because of the knowledge I have received from you, which stands on the bible truths, we managed to teach and set up the leadership for the sisters so that they can teach others what they learned from us.
Our last conference that ended on sat 16th was on the importance of reaching one level and being united in faith. This again was a meeting for the leaders of all sectors in church. The theme of the meeting was from the book of Ephesians 4:13-15 (Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ).
So far we did our best to deliver all we received from you to the church for the purpose of us all walking in one faith. By his grace this I can say the church is now in unity of faith.
The orphanage has not been left behind, the kids are all fine and teaching is ongoing. We have some changes that in the long run will deliver a lot of positive results for the kingdom of God. Also, thanks for the gospel coins, the kids read and memorize a scripture and sing and pray for each other daily before they begin classes. I came up with lessons and daily scriptures for the teachers that makes it easy for them.
Please keep me in prayers as I minister with this ministry of orphans. The need keeps on increasing as I have more orphans in the high school like Linah and Daisy. I do my best to pay all their fees tuition and clothing. I am very happy and praying for your trip here where you will meet the widows Jane, Metrine and now Stella.
Brother Haron sends his regards and love. God bless you and please keep praying for us.
