Remote Villages of Bangladesh Hear About Jesus
Updates from our bangladesh mission fields for December 2018:
December 4th, 2015 Praise the Lord. All glory to my Lord, He is the Holy Creator and we are thankful for Him blessing us. Yesterday we visited our new field in Uludanga. Early morning we hire a car to go there. Pastor Tapon and the local leader (Pastor) Nimai was there and joined us. There have 12 families there and when we reached them, they were already waiting for us. We preached the Gospel and encouraged them to come to the Light (Jesus). Most of them are Hindu and 2 are Muslims. Join us in praying we can convert some more and start a great fellowship here. Their main earning source is farming; women also work in fields with their husband. They are living in simple mud houses with no electricity or running water. They are living in poverty as they don’t have enough food or clothing for themselves or their children. They are however thirsty for word of God, the Living Water! We are very excited for their eagerness to listen to the Gospel. You know, my wife is sick from a fall off the motorbike with me but she also went with us because there are women on these mission fields and she is a great help meet who can talk to them about how to live for Christ. The whole day was really a good day. After that field we visited our established field in Macihara. There we held a meeting and made a list of things we need there. This mission tour was really a great blessing and very fruitful for us. Thanks for reading the update and please pray for us. God bless. -Brother Hilton
December 18th, 2017 Praise the Lord. All Glory to Lord. Thankful to Lord for His blessing on us and our mission work. Today, the 16th of December is our Victory Day (Independence Day for Bangladesh). We had a program at our school as all schools and colleges on this day give the yearly exam results. We invited local government council member to attend the program and two of them were in attendance (the ones on the cell phones). It was really a good time to share the Gospel with all of the invited people and we did it. Thanks to Lord for that opportunity. Actually, God has a plan and He did it. Glory to the Lord. We are getting prepared for next year and are enrolling more new students. Please pray for us and GMFC Christian school.
December 25th, 2017 Praise the Lord. God created earth and He created the days and nights. GMFC believes all days are same and holy if you make it. Bible says 1 Peter 1:16 “Be holy, because I am holy.” There is no place for sinning against a Holy God. On 25th December, the whole world celebrates Christmas which is a great deception. Bible says; Mark 7:8-9 “for laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do. And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.” Mark 7:13 “making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye.” GMFC does not celebrating that day which is a man-made tradition. This day is not in the bible and has pagan roots. We visited our 2 mission fields and preached to them how it’s sin to follow these traditions. We are very thankful to Lord because of His sacrifice that He gave us His Son to us, but we don’t dare to say the 25th is the birth date of our Lord, it’s simply not in the bible. We obey Him and His commandments. Our church and mission families are not celebrating the traditions either, praise God. We are teaching how they can live holy till the end because time is very short. Thankful to the Lord that He using us for His kingdom. Narrow is the way… God bless
