Kibera Slums Shines the LIGHT of JESUS
The blessings abound on one of the poorest places on earth, the Kibera Slum of Nairobi, Kenya! Below are the updates from the month including some precious videos of the children we are training up in the Lord.
September 23rd, 2017 We started the work repairing the latrine we’re using here. Finished one room today. Tomorrow I’ll drain it removing the waste from the ground & we will be using it while repairing the other one. We went to the yard for second hand materials. This is what we are doing brethren to serve the community. I thank God for this blessing & praying to finish it quickly. May God bless the people who have helped us.
September 25th, 2017 I thank God for Sunday fellowship, another a blessed one brethren. Sunday school fellowship was such a blessing to me. I taught the protection of God when somebody is truly walking with Him. The “Story of Moses”. AMEN
September 28th, 2017 It’s a big blessings to hear we will be receiving solar lights later this month brother. Right now we use a kerosene lamps inside and it’s very bad for our health but our only option for light. Here you will see my children are going to school and we use the lamp to see as they get ready. This is another blessing from Jesus.
October 1st, 2017 Praise Lord, a very blessed Sunday. The power of the Lord in action. We had an awesome fellowship with the children(see videos below). It’s a great honor and blessing to teach the children the benefits of walking with the Lord. We also packed up moringa to pass out to the brethren for their physical health. Many only get their necessary nutrients from this blessing we are providing. So many more need to be helped.
October 6th, 2017 We hold our mid-week house fellowships on Wednesday night from 7.00pm to 8.30pm. Glory to Jesus.
October 9th, 2017 Enjoyable moment with the children. I thank God, because of these children as many are seeing me as their Father figure. Glory to Jesus! He made me to be Father of many. Many of these children are Fatherless or have single parents. I thank God for the grace he gave me to bring up these children. many are from the wicked churches… Catholic, Anglican, SDA,etc and many are ending up to be criminals and prostitutes in Kibera here. Kibera needs Jesus and we are preaching Him. Many women’s lives are selling their bodies in prostitution and drinking a local illegal brew. God is changing things as we preach Jesus and teach them the right way of living, a Godly life. Halleluia!
October 11th, 2017 I thank God for a safe journey to the Siaya, Kenya mission field. I traveled over the night to meet widows for their monthly support and to minister to them and the villagers. Huge blessings have come to the widows here due to the love of GMFC and it’s faithful supporters. We give all the glory to JESUS. All the widows say hello and give a big thanks to everyone who care for them from so many miles away.October 19th, 2017 I go to the local hospital in Nairobi weekly to minister to the sick souls. For many months now our government doctors are striking and the public hospitals are in the hands of trainees. Treatment in public hospital are poor as there is much corruption to get services. I thank God because He’s the healer. Today was a great day praying and preaching to the sick. You will see some are criminals in the hands of police. The versus I encouraged them with are Hebrews 10:31 & Psalms 91:14-16. The story of Jesus… Mathews 25:36-46.October 28th, 2017 Praise Jesus brother, I thank God for peace of Kibera slum, yesterday I visited brethren & all are well, glory to Jesus. Here is a widow who lost her business to rioting police when they chased people off the street and started eating her food. We helped her immediately and she is back to her business thanks to GMFC and partners and all the glory to Jesus. Customers are buying. She has three children and of her own and also takes care of two other orphans.October 30th, 2017 Pray for Kibera slums once again. After the Presidential re-election announcement, things changed. All the slums in Nairobi are opposition running battles with police. Many fires are started and people are very hurt.October 21st, 2017 Amen brethren, Kibera today is calm. We are counting the losses in our micro-businesses that were looted over the last few days of rioting between police and youth. Thanks for peace prayer, all brethren are well. Glory to Jesus, Amen.
